Engineered to meet pro road racing standards, the Shimano WH-R8170 TL carbon clincher disc wheelset delivers the perfect balance of lightweight performance, aerodynamics, and reliability. With a 36mm deep full-carbon rim, these wheels are optimised for hilly and mountainous terrain, providing exceptional efficiency and speed.

Built for durability and smooth rolling, the wheels feature stainless steel butted and bladed straight-pull spokes (OPTBAL) for optimal balance and rigidity. A wide flange spacing enhances lateral stiffness, while labyrinth double-contact seals effectively block out water and dirt. The alloy cone with integrated steel Borozon-treated bearing races ensures minimal friction, while the cold-forged aluminium hub shell and oversized 7075 alloy axle keep weight to a minimum.

Compatible with 700C clincher tyres, these wheels support Centre Lock disc brakes. The front wheel fits a 100 x 12mm thru-axle, while the rear accommodates a 142 x 12mm thru-axle with Shimano HG 11/12-speed compatibility.
