The second-generation Merida Silex is a perfect blend of comfort, versatility, and off-road capability. Featuring a high-quality aluminum frame paired with the highly acclaimed Shimano GRX400 gravel-specific groupset and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, it’s a star buy for adventure seekers.

Unlike traditional road or cyclocross bikes, the Silex was designed from the ground up with modern MTB-inspired geometry. A long top tube, slacker head angle, and short stem provide nimble, confidence-inspiring handling, making it ideal for off-road terrain. This updated version now has a slacker 1.5-degree head angle and larger volume tyres for even better performance on rough trails.

The Silex offers unmatched versatility, with five bottle cage mounts and rack mounting points for luggage, plus the ability to fit internally routed dropper posts and dynamo systems for long-distance adventures. The revised fork design allows for easy swapping to a suspension fork without affecting the geometry, while the new, sleeker headtube and fork setup give the bike a more refined look.

Powerful hydraulic disc brakes, flat-mount callipers, and CNC’d aluminium Disc Cooler fins (on carbon models) ensure safe, controlled braking under heavy loads, reducing operating temperatures by up to 35%. The Merida Silex is built for those who crave off-road exploration, adventure, and the road less travelled.
